Department of Oral Pathology and Microbiology

OVERVIEW

Our department focuses on oral cancer detection, odontogenic tumors, dental caries, molecular aspect of various oral diseases. We have a standard histopathology laboratory for providing the oral biopsy services to the clinicians. Along with it, we have a fully functional hematology laboratory, exfoliative cytology laboratory to carry out all the investigations routinely. We receive the tissues of head and neck region from the R.K.D.F. Medical College and R.K.D.F. University. We have a MOU with Jawahar Lal Nehru Cancer Hospital, Bhopal for advanced training of our PG students in the field of cancer research. We also have pentahead (first in any dental college of Madhya Pradesh) and research microscope. We have DCI recognized UG and PG programs running successfully and the first batch of MDS has already passed this year.
