OVERVIEW

The Department of Prosthodontics Crown and Bridge & Implantology is providing education for Undergraduates since 2008 and Postgraduates since 2018. The Department has adequate staff strength for 09 post graduate students. The student’s curriculum includes lectures, seminars, journal clubs, case presentation, and discussion, preclinical lectures, practical and clinical posting in which students are guided by staff for patient treatments. The Department maintains a large OPD for regular new patient inflow.

The Department deals with various kind of replacement treatment in the form of Removable Complete Denture, Specialized Denture, Cast Partial Denture. Implant Supported Complete Denture and Fixed Replacement include Crown and Bridge, single and multiple Implant Supported Fixed Prosthesis, Full mouth rehabilitation and smile designing. The Maxillofacial Prosthodontics carry treatment for deformed Eye, Ear, Nose, Finger, Hand, Cleft Palate, surgically excised maxilla and mandible.

In department there are separate UG and PG clinics with latest and well equipped Dental units, fully functioning centralized ceramic lab with well trained technicians and centralized compressor unit.

Free dental health checkup camps conducted on regular basis for making people aware about their dental health.

In the department, numerous ongoing and completed research projects in confederation with various organization like Cancer Hospital, Research lab and Central institute of plastic, engineering and technology (CIPET). The department conducts webinars, CDE programmes workshops in which theoretical and clinical aspects of treatment modalities are discussed.
