OVERVIEW

The Department of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics came into existence since the inception of the institute at the pre doctoral levels since 2008 and the postdoctoral levels since 2018. The department has staff strength for 09 Post graduate students. It deals with diagnosis, treatment planning and restoration of teeth to reproduce esthetics and function. It also deals with smile designing, esthetic dentistry which includes bleaching of teeth, laminates and veneers. Endodontics is a branch which deals with root canal treatment and periapical surgeries. The Department of Endodontics strives to transfer evidence based knowledge to predoctoral and advanced education students through an interdisciplinary coordinated curriculum and, to the profession at large through relevant continuing education.

To create restorative dentists with superior knowledge and psychomotor skills, who are able to give the best possible care to patients, whilst at the same time, providing for themselves a top-quality life style, and opportunities of employment and further education.

To impart the highest quality of education to students and shape them to be good professionals with credibility, integrity and ethical conscience

To bring out high standards in teaching and learning with more focus on problem based learning & evidence based dentistry

To provide quality treatment using state-of-the-art instruments and equipments with equal care & compassion towards the patients

The department promotes the concept of life-long learning and actively participates in the advancement and dissemination of knowledge through research and publication.
